A Word About The Great Character Actors

In creating this Website to honor the Great Character Actors I have tried to include as much data as possible. It is difficult to list all film and TV credits for these actors as many were so prolific in their careers. Since we are limited of space I must confine film & TV credits pretty much to: film classics, popular TV series, best known roles, my own personal favorites and landmark roles (such as film debuts, films that launched careers, Oscar winning roles, final films, etc.). Photo selection is also often difficult as in some cases there are so many to choose from and in some cases very few. I try to choose photos that best depict the actors as we remember them. Some are from newspaper or magazine photos and are poor in quality. I apologize for these but they are all that were available. I would welcome input as to sources of photos, additional biographical and filmography and television information but please include your source and bibliography as we strive for 100% accuracy. I would also welcome corrections, spell checks, suggestions and additional information on biographies and filmographies. We are currently in need of information (biography = birthdate; birthplace & photos) on the following actors:

Forrester Harvey (photo; biography)
Soon-Tek Oh (photos; birthdate & place; biographical data)
Del Moore (photos; biographical data)
Jeff York (photo; biography)
Roberts Blossom (photo; birthdate, place, educ.; biographical data)
Robert Tessier (photo; biographical data)
Alice Nunn (biographical info; anything) )
Billy Green Bush (photo; anything)
Tom Atkins (photo; biographical data)
Stefan Gierasch (photos; biographical data)
Lucille Benson (photos; biographical data)
Clyde Kusatsu (photos; biographical data)
Jerome Courtland (photo; biographical info)

You may E-mail me (see below) or write: King Spud; 4580 - 58th Ave. N.; Brooklyn Center, MN.; 55429. We will try to include as many character actors as possible. There are literally thousands of them. We intend to adhere to those actors and actresses whose faces are known but whose names are not; as well as the classic character actors. I apologize for not listing them alphabetically but this is logistically impossible. It should also be noted that actors who were listed as passing away in Woodland Hills, Cailfornia most likely were staying at the Motion Picture Country Home for retired actors and movie personnel. Please use the index at the top of each page.

Thanks also to Mark Wilson for help on The Oscars Page. The invaluable help received from the IMDb (Internet Movie database) [www.IMDb.com] is most gratefully appreciated also. Again, I very highly recommend the books: The Film Encyclopedia by Ephraim Katz; Feature Players Vols. 2 & 3 by Jim & Tom Goldrup (we anxiously await a re-printing of Vol. 1) and David Quinlan's series of books on Actors and Character Actors. VERY SPECIAL THANKS to Mr. Doug Macaulay for hosting this Website on zyxweb.com and giving it new life.
