THE GREATEST MOVIES OF ALL TIME

It's not easy to compile a list of the Best Films Ever but what you do is list your favorites in order as best you can. There are so many different types of films/movies...some sheer entertainment, some serious drama, others with a heavy message, light and dark comedies, documentaries, Foreign films, musicals, animated, etc. You'll find my list heavy on the entertainment type films but still quite diverse. You won't find classics such as 2001: A Space Odyssey or Citizen Kane on my list (Citizen Kane maybe when I see it). These are MY personal favorites; every film high in entertainment value. I will be happy to explain why any particular one of these films are on my list. My top films have made an emotional impact on me in some way or other, more so than the average film. I've also listed some high-quality Miniseries and Made for TV Movies as they definitely deserve to be included. The first 100 or so are pretty much in order of ranking as I would list them, from there on it varies. My criteria is repeated viewings, aging (how they stand the test of time), production values, good music scores and more. A great movie is one you can appreciate over and over again. Still, it's hard to update and revise a list such as this as some films weaken in impact with time and need to be removed. Others deserve to be listed higher on the list eventually. You'll notice more recent films at the end of the list only because I've just viewed them. Most of these films hold up after repeated viewings so here then is my list of The Best Films ever:
